Matt Millin
Whilst Matt's competitive riding career was successful, he chose not to
make the transition from ponies to horses, in fact the smell of greasepaint
was preferred to the smell of the muckheap!!! Matt went on to forge a
successful career in front of the camera, with appearances in all
the major TV soaps. Matt and his family, wife Jane and two sons, were the
subject of a Sky One documentary called "The Great British Christmas"
that was broadcast over Christmas 2005.
Now one of the youngest international show-jumping judges in the country,
he lends his sharp wit and unbounding enthusiasm in his commentary to
such prestigious events as the Horse of the Year Show, The Royal Highland
Show, The Belfast International & the British Show Jumping Association
(BSJA) Festival of Showjumping to name just a few. In 2006 Matt
will commentate at The Royal Lancashire Show, a new show for Matt
to add to his already very busy schedule!
A recent exam success now also enables Matt to judge internationally on
behalf of the Federation Equestrian Internationale (FEI). Judging abroad
is something Matt is greatly looking forward to, he says "It was an honour
and a privilege to be allowed by the BSJA to take this exam, it was
tough, but you would expect that, I am really looking forward to this
new challenge!"
Matt also works hard with the rest of the team at findmetherighthorse.co.uk - helping experienced & novice riders alike find their ideal horse or pony.
